On Saturday I hosted a war room to discuss strategies that content creators can employ to combat the censorship and shadow banning that YouTube is planning to implement. I think everyone can agree that it's about time YouTube started taking down content which is actually illegal. The issue here is the fact that they're also planning on hiding content that "isn't illegal" and doesn't "violate policies but contain controversial religious or supremacist content".
So, what are we, as content creators and consumers, going to do to combat YouTube's draconian actions? Here are my ideas:
