Last week's column was all about fundraising to get me to the Kilroy Event. This week I'm going to tell you about some of the new things I'm working on to expand what I can offer you in return for your help getting me there.
Revamping the website - I'm going to change up the Home page by putting a progress bar for my fundraising right at the top. I'm going to add my Twitter feed as well and move the "About Me" section to the Contact page, which is also going to get overhauled. After the fundraising is done, I'll keep putting up goals for various things, whether it's followers or consecutive days doing something silly, as a way to interact with you and give you some extra stuff.
PayPal - I'm going to get PayPal set up in such a way that you can support me with tips and subscriptions. This will be similar to the ways you can support me on Vidme, Minds, Streamlabs and Patreon. The biggest difference being; more of what you send me goes right to me.
Voice Over Services - Because I will be getting PayPal set up, I will also begin doing Voice Over work. Want me to record your outgoing message on your voicemail? Record an intro/outro for your podcast or video channel? Voice a trailer or ad for your channel, website or crowdfunding campaign? Let's talk.
As I said last week, I hate asking for money, but I want to be able to get to Kilroy and discuss some of my knowledge to help other content creators as we navigate the changing landscape of our industry. I feel that the best way for me to raise the funds to get there is by offering something in return for that money. It's me belief that any monetary gains I receive should be earned, whether it's through merchandise, services or the content I'm creating. My first goal is to add value to your life.
As for the target funds, it appears that I will need to raise $1,500 to make it to Kilroy. I'm already on the way because I've sold a shirt on the Teespring store!
