A little update

If you remember a couple weeks ago, I announced that I was going to post at least one article or video every day of July.

Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to make that happen.  I have been overloaded this month with all of the responsibilities in my life.  The one constant in this overload has been the stress (and side effects of said stress) caused by taking on too much with Rhetorical Entertainment.  The fact is I am a husband, father and employee.  Focusing on my job takes a lot of energy, and I need to be a good employee.  My employer allows me to financially care for my wife and daughter.  In focusing on my work and working on creating content, it's been very difficult to prioritize my time with my family.

I have a set schedule at my job, and my family easily fits around that schedule, so I've decided it's necessary for me to cut back on this project a bit.  I love my family, I like my job, I enjoy making content.  To be able to spend time with my family, keep being able to properly serve my clients and employer and maintain my own emotional and physical health I had to make this decision.  My job is fairly stressless overall (especially compared to when I worked in the food industry), and right now my content creation is a hobby to just unwind.  When a hobby becomes the sole source of stress in one's life, as it did in mine over the last two weeks, then it's time to evaluate what I'm doing.  And I refuse to get stressed over Rhetorical Entertainment and ruin it like I did with video games (a story for another time).

So, here's how the schedule will change for the remainder of July:
Mondays, Fridays and the Saturday Vodcast are going away.
You'll still get the weekly column on Tuesday
The book preview on Wednesday
The streams on Thursday on Twitch and YouTube
The weekly show on Vidme and Minds on Saturday
The weekly show on YouTube and sources here on Sunday

In the end, it's been an easy (but still painful) decision.  My family and the employer who has taken care of me for so long have to be my top priority.  I didn't let the latter slip, which caused me to sacrifice the former to produce all this extra content.
